How cold should a commercial cool room be?
Most commercial cool rooms run between 1 and 5 degrees, cold enough to hold produce, dairy, drinks and prepared food safely without freezing it. Standby sets the target range to the stock you store and checks the room holds it under a normal day of door traffic.
Why is my cool room not holding temperature?
The usual culprits are a worn door seal letting warm air in, an aging compressor losing capacity or a blocked drain line pushing up humidity. We diagnose which one it is on site and fix the cause, so the room holds its range instead of drifting back in a month.
How long does a cool room installation take?
A straightforward room goes in over a couple of days once panels and plant are on site. Larger builds or jobs that need power and drainage run longer. We give you a firm timeline with the quote so it fits around your trading hours instead of shutting the kitchen down mid-week.
Can you repair a cool room you didn't install?
Yes. We repair and maintain cool rooms of any make, not only the ones we built, including cold-call service jobs on rooms we did not originally fit.
