Privacy Policy

The contact formasks for your name, phone number, email address and the service you need. The message box and the “How did you find us?” question are optional. We use these details to reply, arrange a site visit and quote the job. We don't add you to a mailing list and we don't sell or rent your details to anyone.

The form is delivered to our inbox as an email through Brevo, an email service based in France. Brevo handles the message only to deliver it. To block automated spam, your IP address is held briefly in the website server's memory and then discarded.

When a form is sent successfully, Google Analytics records that an enquiry happened, along with the service you picked and your answer to “How did you find us?”. It does not receive your name, phone number, email address or message.

If you phone or email us instead, we keep your details for the same purpose: to deal with your enquiry and any job that follows.

We use Google Analytics 4 to see how people use the site: which pages they visit, how they arrived, what device and browser they use, their approximate location (city level) and whether they tap our phone number or email address. If you use the running cost calculator, it records the options you chose but never the figures you type in. Google Analytics sets cookies to tell one visit from the next.

You can stop Google Analytics collecting your visits with Google's opt-out browser add-on. Google explains how it uses this data in its partner sites policy.

We use Microsoft Clarity to understand where the site is confusing or broken. Clarity records how you move through a page (clicks, taps, scrolling and mouse movement) and turns those sessions into replays and heatmaps. It also collects your device, browser, screen size and approximate location, and sets cookies to link the pages of one visit together.

Clarity masks what you type into the contact form before anything leaves your browser, so the replays we see never contain the details you enter. We don't use Clarity to identify individual visitors.

To opt out, turn on your browser's tracking protection or use a content blocker that blocks clarity.ms. Blocking cookies alone stops Clarity linking your pages together but does not stop recording. How Microsoft handles Clarity data is set out in the Microsoft Privacy Statement.

The site is hosted by Vercel, which keeps standard server logs, including IP addresses, to run and secure the service. Google, Microsoft and Vercel are based in the United States and Brevo in the European Union, so information collected through this website may be stored or processed outside Australia.

The site does not run advertising or remarketing tags.

You can ask what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it or ask us to delete it. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, tell us first and we will try to put it right. If that doesn't resolve it, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
