Safety, Quality & Communication

This is how we run every job,
whether you're watching or not.

Safety, qualified tradesmen and honest communication aren't add-ons at Standby Services. They're how every job runs, from a Wollongong lounge room split system to a data centre plant room.

Here's exactly what Standby Services does on every single job, no exceptions, so you don't have to take our word for it.

What we do on every job

Safety first, no shortcuts

Every job gets a Safe Work Method Statement and a site induction before anyone picks up a tool, whether it's a two-hour residential service call or a three-week commercial fit-out. Standby carries $20 million in public liability insurance, and on data-centre-grade sites the crew turns up in full PPE with fire extinguishers and flashback arresters checked before anyone sets foot on the floor.

Qualified tradesmen

Every Standby tradesman holds a Certificate 3 trade qualification, a genuine four-year apprenticeship standard that covers the training to legally buy and handle refrigerant gas. Standby is also an ARC member with a refrigerant purchasing licence, so the person on your roof or in your plant room is qualified to be there.

Communication you get without asking

On commercial jobs, the site manager or project manager gets a call at least once a week to confirm access, check where other trades are up to and flag anything that could affect the program. We call to update you before you need to call and ask.

Organised, on time and tidy

We build to your program and turn up on the day we said we would, because a late trade holds up every other trade behind it. Loose ends get tied up as we go instead of left for a return visit, and the site gets left the way we found it, minus the old equipment.

The standard we hold ourselves to

Standby built its process around safety, quality and keeping to the dates we commit to: SWMS and site inductions on every job, Certificate 3 trade qualified tradesmen, weekly updates on commercial work and a crew that stays until the job is complete.
